"My work is modelled in clay or wax for casting in resin or bronze; I have always been interested in the interaction between people and in their emotions and try to express this in three dimensional form. My biggest inspiration came from the liberation and freedom after five years of wartime occupation in Holland
After studying in Amsterdam and Paris I came to live and work in London where I also very much enjoyed teaching under the ILEA until I had to retire, running a studio with no limitation on age or requirement for previous experience or for diploma standards where the students were offered a model and various materials in which to work and were encouraged to take an individual approach.
A number of commissions came from opening my studio each year which I have continued to do now in Surrey , giving people the chance to see my work and choose what they like".
